After Osborn reveals that he knows Peter is Spider-Man, he tells him to keep his secret. This still haunts Peter, even when he returns home. Nico offers to take Peter to the movies, but he tells him that he is having dinner with Osborn. In an empty restaurant, Peter tries to tell Osborn that he is not Spider-Man, but he sees through his lie. He reveals that after saving his son Harry, he began to gather potential Spider-Man candidates, eventually including Amadeus, Jeanne, Asha, and Peter himself. He offers his services to help him, but Peter politely declines. Osborn leaves the door open just in case and in case of a check.
